of inferred reality
a novel idea
entirely imagined
not at all real
merely a projection
of one possibility
out of countless
and internalized
as likely
by a hubris calculus
a vaunted rationalization
disguised as logic
present but
uncomfortable
in your own skin.
Fear is a friction.
